Entrepreneurship and Evolution

Economists look upon entrepreneurs as job providers. Strangely
enough, entrepreneurship is historically known to have been born
or spread due to famines, loss of farming jobs and general
unemployability.

Common understanding is that an entrepreneur promotes a
business, operates it and assumes risk. Entrepreneurship is a
combination of a business idea, ability to marshal resources and the
courage to implement. Over time and by research, each
of these three components / elements has expanded in substance
and shape:

● The entrepreneurial idea, in order to be successful, has to be
'powerful', meaning thereby, 'it has to be scalable with an
automatic power in itself to move forward'.
● Ability to mobilise not only financial resources but also organise

a balanced team of working partners, with alignment of interest.
● Leadership to focus on implementation, meet contingencies and

bring about single-mindedness in the team to attain the goals.

As a successful entrepreneur graduates to become a business
leader, he has the accumulated knowledge, experience and time
tested formulas from the past. But what enables him to become
a business leader is imagination. Learning to look at the grown up

enterprise from different stand points and seeing a new perspective of

what his enterprise can achieve as an integral part of a larger universe of

economic activities, is imperative to growth and success. This imagination

has to be backed by visualising the potential, carving out the opportunity

space, making a choice of positioning and strategising to reach there.
